Last nights gig was the first trying the DAC-3, and also new laptop. I have never been able to get the DAC-3 to work with the usual PC, despite changing sound cards, formatting and reinstalling.
It worked perfectly all night on the laptop and the dac-3 worked well also.
No crashes or problems at all - despite my DJ friend's best efforts (and hes computer-unfriendly!).
It was a Karaoke, and was playing music videos in between using all the transistion effects and also using video pluggins when playing just audio tracks, so really pushing VDJ to the limits.
No problems at all, thought i'd share that with you all :)
The setup by the way -
Acer Ferrari 4005 laptop (AMD Turion 64 bit, 2ghz processor, 100mb HD, 1gig RAM, radion x700mobile vid chip)
DAC-3
300gig External hard drive - using the firewire cable.
Behringer ub1204fx mixer
Terratec external soundcard
JTS dual radio mic system.
Looking forward to Native support for the DAC-3 in VDJ (instead of standard Midi support with virtual midiport)
