Hi there this is for the Aussie DJ's using Virtual DJ... I've just bought VDJ and also Registered with the PPCA Phonographic Performance Company of Australia.... allowing me to play music in public.. $177 per year music only.. but it's $800 or so, per year if you want to play music videos... and that sucks... has anyone else actually bothered to register?... I've been CD djing for a while through another company. I was never asked about PPCA (didn't know it existed) .... at least I've now got a cool green sticker for my car... woo hoo!

In the US, it's usually the responsibility of the venue you work at to belong to ASCAP/BMI. I could be wrong though. I'm no expert.
