should the head phones be connected to the sound card or to the mixer?? as my sound card as only 2 exits (speakers and mic), is there any way the headphones can be connected to the mixer?

buy the full version that's the only way it's ganna work

and using the full version theres no need to get another soundcard? can i listen to the headphones connecting them to the mixer?

yes, you only need a 5.1 sound card or better and your Full Version purchased.

I have got a full version of Virtual Dj 3.1 and settings on the alien head is Dj, But I can't use the head phone to work can someone please help?

Look at my blog a give a step by step configuration for use headphones in VDJ with only one soundcard 5.1.

can not configure for soundcard 5.1 does not show in configure
using external mixer eurorack. fader has to be set in center but when i record i can hear both decks when i listen to record mix

The headphones are only available in the register version of VDJ. Demo versions don't do this and other versions are not supported.

andree, you don't need another soundcard.
With full version it is possible that you hear one deck in the left channel and the other deck in right channel. You can monitor it thru mixer as regural decks. But the decks will be only monophonic not stereo.



other way is that you use the same split option but left channel will be master (to the amplifier)
and right channel will be prelisten to the headphones.


In all theese cases you don't need another soundcard to be able to play.

Andree, if you have a 4.1 sound card you could use the VDJ output in the "front speakers" output of your sound card and headphones in "rear speakers" of your sound card.

If you only have a stereo sound card, you have to split the signal as lopez describe.

But in any case, it only works in FULL version.
