Topic: Headphone split-cue function

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Having just spent some time dreaming on the pioneer site (you should check out the new CDJ-1000's and the real media movie of some guy scratching on them - awesome!! - but I digress), their top of the range mixer has a 'split cue' option, which allows you to listen to the cueing deck in one ear (also with mono option) and the mixed output in the other.

That is a godsend function for noisy DJ booths or those without adequate monitor speakers - or even for practicing with your headphones on without waking the neighbours (or the missus!).

Atomix could use such a function by sending the monitor output (either on the second souncard or the front output of a 3D card) not in stereo but split, using left for cue only(mono) and right for mix (mono), leaving the other card or rear out for the main output for the mixer.

Let's face it, we only use one ear to cue anyway, so what do you think guys?

As a novice DJ I fully agree with this request. Are there any plans to incorporate such a capability into atomixmp3?
