Topic: PROJECT X WITH VDJ 2026
I know it seems like Project X has not been updated in quite a while but it's been working fine this whole time. But I did notice that since I've upgraded to 2026, if you are using the old waveforms, everything looks fine when you play the first track but then when you go to play your second track you'll start seeing some trailing lines underneath the wave window.

I was trying to look through the forums here to see if there's even a Project X thread but I couldn't seem to find one so I'm posting a new one here. I don't know if there's anyone else out there who enjoys Project X as much as I do but I've been using it for so many years now that I have to go and switch to the regular virtual DJ. I almost feel like I'm learning how to DJ all over again lol. So just curious if anyone else is using Project X and if you're also noticing that issue. Hopefully the creator of Project X is still on here and could possibly do an update. I'm even willing to pay for an update that's how much I love that skin.

Yes, I've been using Dan's Project X for several years. Firstly with Project X Slider for maybe 3-4 years, in the last year I switched back to the standard Project X for a while mainly to tinka with the experimental stems display. I'm now back to the Slider version with the latest VDJ, so I can enlarge the rhythm window. The AI lyrics can be much larger by opening the slider. I haven't noticed any issue with the graphics you mention. Are you on Windows or Mac?

It's definitely something to do with the AI lyrics. I just turned them off, and I don't have the problem. For now, I guess I just won't use the AI lyrics.

If you're using the regular waveforms, it also doesn't seem to have an issue. It's just something specific with the original look of the waveforms, like in my screenshot. I've been using Virtual DJ since it was just called Atomix, so the old-school waveforms just seem to have grown on me, and I just always use those. I guess this is slow season. I could try and just start learning to adjust, but would definitely love to try and figure out a fix for this, if possible.
