Topic: Numark mixtrack platinum FX audio settings?
seem to be having the problem that a lot of people are having with the numark platinum fx not playing cue audio through the onboard headphone jack, and instead playing all audio from either the speakers or the headphones but not separately. tried everything I found in the forum but "exclusive audio control" in VDJ because then i can't hear anything. I'm sure it's fine when I'm at a venue but I'd like to be able to hear other things that are happening on my computer when I'm practicing at home (as well as streaming from home) and it breaks the audio driver for everything that isn't attached to VDJ

wait wait after hours of noodling i figured out if i ran the output to a virtual audio cable then for some reason it all works now
 
The Virtual Audio Cable shouldnt be necessary.
The default Audio Setup with ..
Master ->Numark Platinum FX -> Chans 1,2
Headphones ->Numark Platinum FX ->Chans 3,4
should output Master and Headphones correctly assuming speakers and Headphones are connected ot the Numark device.

If for some reason you need to listen to the Master using the computer's built in sound card and speakers, all you have to do is to add an additional Master Output to your audio Setup :
Master ->Numark Platinum FX -> Chans 1,2
Headphones ->Numark Platinum FX ->Chans 3,4
Master -> Your computer's Built-in Sound card (or some other) --> Chans 1,2
