One home and and one live set up:
I have a beautifully tweaked and working setup of VDJ on my MacMini. It saves all necessary files in 'users/user/Documents/VirtualDJ'. Within the Apple eco system that folder is synced via icloud. So my Macbook Pro holds the same, mirrored information. (I also made sure all the folders are downloaded on the laptop)
On starting up VDJ on the MB Pro for the first time I did neither find all of my preferences/settings, nor the main database that VDJ was using (and was originally exported via LEXICON) on the Mac Mini.
I then restored the database/back up for LXC on the MB Pro and exported that for VDJ.
Still no settings (I know that's not for LXC to handle) but more importantly: none of my library shows on my MB Pro.
All I got was this cryptic message in regards to LXC moving some 'virtual folders' around (See Screenshot)
What happened? Any insights as to how to work this in sync with two systems?

I am not sure this is your issue, but it could be..:
When keeping machines synchronized using iCloud Drive it is important to disable the "Optimize Mac Storage" in iCloud settings. This ensures that all files are synchronized and available on both machines.

EDIT: also make sure to NEVER run VDJ simultaneously on 2 machines, when sync'ing with iCloud (same for Dropbox).
