Topic: Stem controls with Pioneer DDJ400?
I've come back to VirtualDJ after a few years away. Looking to get a new controller and love the new stem controls. Could I control these (toggle on / off with lights indicating if they're active) with the DDJ400?

Yes , you can do that with almost any pads option on almost any comtroller (a few are locked to the hardware on a few controllers)
The way pads work now is that VDJ has pad pages, which are collections of pad actions made using VDJ script. So for instance there is a page (collection) where all pads do something with hotcues, another where all pads handle loops, and yet another where it's all about triggering samples. Apart from the pad pages that come with the software, you can download more or create your own
So now the pads selector buttons on controllers (hotcues, loops, sampler) simply select the currently used pad page, and the pad pages action script take care of the rest
So when a new feature like stems comes around, a new pad page is simply added to the collection that ships with VDJ (and a few variations are often added as downloadable alternatives), and then you can simply reassign one of the pads selector buttons on your controller to the new pad page. So you can for instance replace sample pads with stems pads if you don't use samples that much
This is how you reassign it
