Hi, I am on windows. So last month I started doing stems for a large portion of my music. My desktop machine is a beast and it was ripping through the stems like butter.
First, in case others want to do this. Running windows 10 on both machines. Get them on the same network. Then on my desktop, I mapped my laptops drive using the "map network drive".
1. Yesterday after updating to the latest vdj that lets you have a fixed location for all your stems, instead of just placing them in the same directory as the mp3, I noticed a massive lag when creating stems. My desktop was no longer ripping them through them.
I was wondering if anyone knew what could have caused this? Nothing on my end has changed except I have upgraded both vdjs on each machine. I also only run vdj from my desktop when building stems and doing things like adding cue points etc.
