I have a Focusrite scarlett solo audio interface into which is plugged my Behringer XM8500 dynamic microphone . When using Virtual DJ even when setting the master mic volume to max the mic volume is still really low. I have the mic gain on my Focusrite set just below the clipping level. The volume of my Mic is fine in my recording software (Cakewalk). Can anyone offer their advice / experience please.

Well, if you wait long enough you might end up answering your own question. If it helps anyone else with a similar problem. I eventually opened Audacity and monitored my mic recording levels which were fine and as expected. Went back to virtual DJ and now the gain levels on my mic seem ok. This works now whether Audacity is open or closed. Cheers
