Topic: Automix won't allow pre-fade before next track. Didn't use to be a problem.
After the latest update, The playback freezes when it hits the crossfade beginning. Is this a bug or a user setting?

Looks like there was indeed a bug in the preview player in the automix editor. Will be fixed in next update.
