Topic: Selecting custom pads from the DDJ 1000 directly?
Is there a way to have a custom pad mode accessible directly from the DDJ 1000 while keeping the original set of pad modes?

Yes you can change which modes you want available from the controller at any given time, by simple decideing which pad pages are in use

Thanks Klaus..I'll take a look at this.
I was of the impression this replaces a mode that was already there, unlike the DJM S9, where you can set it to have custom modes with multiple presses of the mode button.

Yes you can do that too. Then you just need to remap the selector buttons
I sometimes have one that skips through 5-6 modes/padpages
Or have an index mode/padpage where each of the 8 pads select a new mode/padpage
The sky is really the limit. But I find that I more and more go back to keeping it simple

I agree with your point - I only really use 3-4 pad types max for my style so I can replace one.
