The subscription is for the software only, music requires a separate payment.

A software subscription doesn't include streamed content.
think of it like this, you have an internet connection [think of this as vdj subscription] but you don't automatically get a netflix subscription because you have internet [think of this as a music streaming service]
It's a semi common misunderstanding, perhaps there should be a option for clear SW sub + content, but the price would have to reflect that it's actually 2 subs from 2 providers.
