I was hoping for a little guidance and suggestions regarding an external sound card. I see several on Amazon all of which are USB. I like mixing just for myself and don't have (or need) a lot of expensive equipment. But since I need a secondary sound card, the external cards I'm looking at are under $50. Just wanted to know if anyone had suggestions or indicate if I'm going in the right direction.

Should be all ok.
But ideally one with stereo output for speakers, AND a stereo output for headphones.
But you can also use the internal sound card for headphones, external for speakers (but might introduce a tiny difference in "delay", but usually its all ok)
