Topic: crossfader and volume faders don't work
ZorkataHome userMember since 2016
Hey! I might need some help.
Here's the deal - I got a new DJ deck - Numark Mixtrack Pro FX.
The problem is when I open the VDJ software and start mixing the crossfader and the volume faders won't function. They are detected from the program as I see them moving when I also move them from the controller. But during a song - nothing.
Thanks in advance!

what is your current audio setup?
and a screenshot perhaps?

and its all faders or only the crossfader?

The problem is with the crossfader and the volume faders.

I can't seem to find an option for photo uploads, so I'd be also thankful if you give me some coordination about that as well.

about the audio setup - on outputs, the master is on channels 1&2 and the headphones are on channels 3&4

I'd gladly upload more screenshots if this information is not helpful

That seems correct (without me having that controller).
But the most common audio setup for entry / mid range controller is master + headphones, as you have set it.

yes, I do hear music.

I installed the firmware for the controller from the link above but still no result

Hmm strange. If you have audio AND you see volume fader and crossfader move in the software.

Can you paste and upload image of your sound settings here:

Although from what you said, it sounds correct already..

But maybe you inverted headphones and master. If so you could always try the headphone volume knob on the controller, and see if that lowers the speaker volume. But maybe not likely, worth a check ..

Did you just change for the screenshot? Those sound settings are not really in use (yet)

And if you get an error after you press "Apply",. it might be because the sound card on the controller is already in use (elsewhere), most likely as Windows default sound card if so.

Set it so that Windows does not use the controller as playback nor recording device
