Hello,
Whether it is a custom mapping for my keyboard or my controller (numark party mix) at each loading of songs and well I am obliged to return in the mapping saved and return on the interface for it to work!
Rather annoying !

Try to set browserSearchByFirstletter to No (from VirtualDJ Settings->OPTIONS tab)

Should be there ;-)
Just search at top search field: browserSearch
(or select "Browser" instead of "Options" at the category selects)
