Topic: Script/Automate Database Backups
Hello!
Is there a way to script the VDJ database backup function to run weekly, or on some automated trigger? I'd like to keep things backed up, and while I have OneDrive and BackBlaze they are syncing only the last 30 days (backblaze) or not at all, and they are quick to update and overwrite.
I'd love to be able to know that an automatic function is creating the backups that then the offsite services can store.
Is this possible? (Hopefully my question makes sense.)
Stay safe and cheers for any help.

Unfortunately there's no action that you can use to backup the database.
Otherwise it would be possible to use Event Scheduler to automate the backup procedure.

If you really want to, you can run a BATCH file to copy the DATABASEs every time you TURN ON your system (this would be AUTOMATIC).

Or create a shortcut/batch file and execute it manually when you insert a USB STICK/SD CARD (this is what I do) then execute VDJ program.

Many ways you can achieve it without using VDJ built in DATABASE backup.

Irrespective it would be easy for Adion to add an option for a once a month automatic backup. They take up little space and would save a lot of hassle for people who overwrite or lose the contents of their VDJ folder.
