I don't think I did much
- I enabled playcount in a playlist
- I ordered by it descending - that gives me just the tracks in the playlists by default
- I set the search criteria to "all local files" and disable "search in local folder" like seen in the beginning of the video
That was it - then it searches globally, and keeps ordering by playcount descending when I change playlists
I think the search criteria settings were the important ones for me

yes this is weird, with same search settings sort order for search is lost between search (reset to none) here too

Still works fine here - with the settings I have set to the search in the beginning of the video

Sort order stay the same as current folder, not a specific to search result
Sort result DO NOT have own ordering setting and sorting result modify browser file search ordering
but do not keep in consideration keepSearchOrder setting

Difference between two videos: only folder change but no column sort between the two searches in second one

whatever setting keepSearchOrder can be browser "files" sort order is used with search (file=Play Count|file(samp)=Pos|...)
sorting in search result (file=-Title|file(samp)=Pos|
resets next browser file sort order to none (|file(samp)=Pos|...)
(looks to be the bug)

with keepsearch is on result, search result keep browser "files" (file=Play Count|file(samp)=Pos|...)
moving folder keep ordering (file=Play Count|file(samp)=Pos|...)
sorting (file=Title|file(samp)=Pos|...)
change what sort result will show (file=Title|file(samp)=Pos|...)
browser files keep sort order (file=Title|file(samp)=Pos|...)
