Topic: Hercules Inpulse 300 or Pioneer DDJ-SB3

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Wanting to up the Hercules Inpulse 300 or the Pioneer DDJ-SB3. Coming from Hecules RMX from years ago...2006.

Just wondering which controller works with all the functions Virtual DJ has to offer. Will be purchasing VDJ license as soon as I figure out what controller to get. Cant wait!

Thank you so much!

I wouldn't recommend either of those controllers, to be honest.

They both have very short pitch faders, placed out of reach at the back of the controller, and a lack of FX parameter knobs.

I did post this before in another thread, where the same question was asked - but an over enthusiastic "support" person has removed the entire thread (which was more established than this one) including that answer, and removed my previous post in this thread about it being a duplicate.

Thanks for your Atomix for the input and the info!

Groovindj, could let me know what you would recommend instead. One with FX parameter knobs would be good.
Sorry it was deleted.
Thanks again

What's your budget? Mixars Primo seems to be the cheapest with the full set of FX knobs and long pitch faders.

Numark NV II if you want screens too.

Both the SB3 and and the Inpulse have FX param knob.
The first knob of any effect is usually the significant one to adjust on the fly during the mix.
Usually called wet/dry or strength and similar..

The other fx params are very often just adjustments that you dont use on the fly, but rather adjust once or twice to get the sound you want.

Besides the SB3 is one of the most used controllers with VirtualDJ,. and many thousands of users are happy with that.
All depends on your budget and needs

They're also used for the multi-FX mode in VDJ.

Ok last question.

The Numark Mixtrack Platinum FX or fx pro look right up my alley

They work well with virtual dj functions as well.?

Sorry for all the questions.. have been out of the game for a while.
