thanks for the spam! i don't get nearly enough in my inbox!

i dont know what your criteria is, but any dj software a whopping (woohoo) "100% better" than VDJ "better" also cook my breakfast and leave before i get up. and it probably should have a decent spellcheck.

Sorry but for me VisualDiscoMix is a very old programs that sucks a lot:

- No dual soundgraph
- A playlist that is very biiiIIIg shit, that is useless
- Very, very old design
- Not intuitive as VDJ do
- Loops ability is limited and effect are chip

Yes, you got it a professional program, for ten years ago!

I have to say the beat detection of the apart program is very good, but not very easy to use.

Sorry to say the contrary Fruit, but VisualDiscoMix is a good product compare to other serious competitor.
After some test I can say that VisualDiscoMix:
- has the best Analyzer for BPM structure and phase system for r&b, hip hop and rap music that I never saw before.
- Has an excellent beat lock and synchronisation
- Has an excellent sound quality
- Has an excellent gain control plus frequency spectrum adjustment
- 7 band equalizers + spectrum analyzer
- …..

VisualDiscoMix is an excellent product and I can say that I am really impressed by the quality and all the features.

But I prefere VDJ skin.

Yes I agree VDM has good points. But for the reasons I listed, ESPECIALLY cause of the playlist, I will never use it. you're right to say it's a professional program, maybe more than vdj, but I just don't like it.
And as I already said: yes, the external beat-detection program is good. Kabensa: Witch soft do you use daily? VDM or VDJ?

VDJ of course :)
But today I have been impressed by the BMP analyzer of VDM and other nice features

kabensa!! you did your homework.

I 've been using VDMX for almost two years now.
And up til two weeks ago , thats when I found out about

VDJ. nothing came close to what I like about VDMX.

I playied with vdj for 10 hours last weekend....Its a very good
program for the price I ll give you that....But not enought for me to use it insted of VDMX.

Any way I didnt mean to give you guys "SPAM".
And NO I dont work for them either.

just wanted to let you know of the existance of this truly great program.

Peace.

( English is my second language, so pardon the spelling )

apologies for the first response. i had just finished clearing about 100 spams with poor spelling out of my inbox, then i read this, tried to go to the site and it wouldn't load.

my bad.

this program looks okey but $800??

waaay too much to spend just to "dj with a laptop". none of the features i see are worth that kind of cash.

heh - i just installed it and tried a rudimentary 4/4 mix with beat lock "on" and the phase indicator needle stayed hopelessly on one side or the other of the 0 position throughout the mix. i am running a P4 2.2ghz with a gb of ram so i doubt it's a hardware issue. if it is then that software is terribly written to need more resources than that.

vdj beat-lock altho tempermental to get it locked correctly at times, stays locked once it's on, there is no phasing of the kicks.

whatever. i guess thats why god made the uninstaller.

the only thing really cool are the effects....that spin down/start up sounds pretty authentic......

"this program looks okey but $800?? "

Yes that is ALOT!
It seems they value alot letting you use an external mixer.
and letting you use two times stereo.

Go figure!

Peace And respect.

Hi,

I'm new to VDJ after using Visual Discomix for a few years.
I really like VDJ but until now I think the beat detection in Visual Discomix works better.
Maybe I need more practice in VDJ....

I tried mixing Four to the Floor (thin white duke mix - Starsailor) with Bring it back (Moloko - remix with Donna SUmmers I feel love)
In Visual Discomix this mixes fluently (with the "back back back..." , in VDJ I just can't seem to get it to work...
Weird..
Any ideas anybody ?
I'd hate to lose my favourite mix move... Four to the Floor - Bring it back ... LOL

thanks

Well, one thing is true and that is that vDJ is less automated than something like visDM.

No worries guys, VDJ beats Visual Discomix on lots of other territories.
(I think the beatlock still needs to improve a lot tough)

Exactly why VDJ is the king of the castle, the best live mixing program out their with a nice learning curve.
