Topic: videowindowposition setting and spawning the video window offscreen

Hi,

I'm just wondering if there is a way to spawn the video window offscreen when it is initialised, rather than in the middle of the main display?

Reason: working with OBS you can capture either display or window to grab the video output, however in the case of the former, you lose an entire display, and in the case of the latter you can see the cursor over the visuals (even if you have the window on a virtual desktop in Windows 10).

However, if you drag the video window offscreen (as far as you can, to the edge of the screen), it will display properly in OBS, but not obstruct your screenspace too much.

Spawning it offscreen would be the perfect solution.

The answer is NO
At start, VDJ want its own main window to fully fit only in one screen display
Whatever the size was at exit, VDJ will shrink and move the windowas needed to fit the display monitor it defines as "main" (owning the bigger part of the skin)
It won't move the top left corner if is in it unless forceFullScreen is set
It is not possible to have a part of main window out of "main" display or dialog openning in other monitor but "main" display even if button command are in another one.

The same way when you change layout or skin, other open boxes or window will move (or disapear for effects guis)
double click in resize area resizes the window to default size and restore fitting the "main" display as well
