Topic: Camera integration with ChromaCam

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

ChromaCam is a utility that creates a fake green screen (or other kind of backgrounds), and it works pretty well if you don't have a green screen
The idea is that it acts as a separate camera on top of your real camera, but one that automatically replaces your background with something else - like for instance a green color. It's then up to the program calling it to remove this green color just like if it was a physical green/blue screen

The issue with using it with VirtualDJ is that it's settings page is supposed to opens when you select it as input
This works fine when using it with for instance Skype, and you can then select for ChromaCam to put a green color instead of your background
But with VDJ the settings page starts loading, but it never finishes, so you never get to the place where you can select the green color

Luckily you can save the settings. So you only need to set it once using for instance Skype. Then you can open VDJ, ignore the ChromaCam settings page never opening, and use it anyway. But it would be better if VDJ somehow "could agree" with ChromaCam about getting the settings page opened,

Ok, sometimes it does work - so I'm not really sure what to think of it...
