Partially covered this in another thread, but today I figured out what the issue was. I have a filter folder to display all music and video type=audio and exists = 1 and it was sorted by year. I was working in it and had scrolled down to 1983, but after doing something else on my PC and going back to VDJ, several times it had gone back to the very top of the folder.
Also happens if you just type * in the search bar to get all files
