(VDJ v8.3 b4675 Windwos 10 64-bit Professional w/ latest updates at time of post)
Steps to reproduce:
1. Click to Settings > Options. The options list is displayed.
2. The options list is divided into two columns, the left column shows the setting name and the right column the setting value. Left-click or right-click in an empty area of any checkbox style setting (e.g. playMode) in the right-hand column. Repeat this step on several settings.
Expected result: Nothing happens.
Actual result: The text caption in the left-hand column of each clicked setting disappears.
To make the captions re-appear, you can click anywhere in the left-hand column. You can also click a category title (e.g. "browser") or toggle any in the right-hand column. Any of these events will cause the missing captions to be redrawn.

I am able to replicate this issue as well, while not a showstopper, definitely a bug.
