hey guys, so i have my first ever gig on august 16th and the only controller i have is a launchpad but i cant really use it cuz i have no money for a license, do you need a license for DDJs and stuff? (i only have the free version of VDJ :'( )

Yes. That's the most important limitation of the free version: it can't be used with a controller for more than 10 min (test period)
But luckily you can get the monthly subscription pro license. So it'll only cost you $19 to get it working for your gig
