For v8 I have found this to be false,
Routine makes use of 6400 hotcues although the maximum it will use at one time is a mere 800

Routine is a plugin I wrote that records and replays cue juggling routines, like serato's flip
Only mine does 2 more and is editable
(I need to get working on the new xml version)
It's for pro licence users only and it will be like that until I get it reading/writing an xml and released on mac

I think for my humble purposes it's good enough to know that 99 CUE points is not all I can save. With hundreds of songs in a library, that would be ridiculous.

Lol, no, the old 99 cue limit was PER track, not across the entire database.

The current numerical limit in VDJ 8 is just over 2 billion cue points per song (2147483647).
