Check to see that the ItunesDatabaseFile variable is pointing to where your iTunes library is.
It is in Settings/Options/Browser
Also check that iTunes is one of the options listed in Settings/Options/Browser/rootFolders
And third, look in iTunes application and check Preferences > Advanced to make sure to set the option "Share iTunes Library XML with other applications"

One thing further to add, if you are an Apple Music subscriber then your Apple Music downloaded tracks have DRM. They will only play in iTunes because the DRM is only compatible with Apple products (by design). This is because you do not own Apple Music tracks. You download them to listen offline only, not to use outside of iTunes.
If you buy the tracks straight from the iTunes Music store. meaning you paid directly for the song (about $1-$1.29) or album, you may have another issue.
So if none of this helps, we need to see a screen shot of the song that you are trying to play when in iTunes. In iTunes, there is a column field called "Kind". I would be interested to see if it says "Apple Music" (new DRM encryption), "Protected" (old DRM encryption) or "Purchased" (this is the only kind of download that can be played outside of iTunes).
