Topic: Pioneer XDJ-RX Mapping for VDJ8 on MAC

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello,

Apoligies if this topic has been mentioned before but I searched and it didnt show any search results. My question is quiet simple, I am aware that VDJ8 is not supported on the Pioneer XDJ-RX and this is for a number of reasons which I can understand, but has anyone gone ahead and mapped the controller to work with VDJ8 and are they willing to share with other users?

Are there documents which explain how I can go about mapping my controller? The reason I want to use VDJ8 is simply because I want to continue using VDJ8 while having the backup of Rekordbox in case of a laptop failing mid gig.

I am using a Macbook Pro and I have seen mapping files for windows machines which wont work for me unfortunately...

Thanks for your input in advance.

Regards,

I got the mapper to work perfectly but I cannot seem to activate the soundcard on the XDJ-RX... Has anyone got info on this? Should I just use an external sound card?

Getting the audio to work is easy, if you need help tag/message me, the problem I have is getting the faders to move the faders on screen, can anyone explain to me how I can get them to work? I have used the mapping file and most of it works but it seems the mixer controls although they work won't control the software. looking at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRl3PQ1Xcps I see his mixer as well as the left and right decks lights up on the screen so first the left deck lights then the mixer and the right deck light up. I don't get that on mine what I get onmy RX screen is the left deck lights up the middle mixer section does not and the left deck lights up? Anyone know why firmware v1.80

I found the solution to my own problem, hold down the menu button and turn mixer mode to midi control

Hi - just bought the XDJ-RX2 and I absolutely hate using Rekordbox with it. Any ideas when the RX2 will be supported in VDJ? Can't stand Rekordbox any longer!
