Topic: DO YOU HAVE PAY TO USE VIRTUAL DJ 8 EVEN IF YOU HAVE BOUGHT THE VIRTUAL DJ MIXER

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I bought the virtual dj mixer and starting using it along side 7 software.It told me to update to 8 so I did then when mixing with the new 8 software it went off in 10 mins saying that I had to pay for and upgrade to use this .why so and do I need to go back to 7 so I can start using my mixer again...??

VirtualDJ LE 7 could never say that :)

Anyways, the Beatmix offers a free VirtualDJ 7 LE version which is the one you should use if you dont want to pay anything extra.
It doesnt offer VirtualDJ 8 LE so there is no free upgrade for the specific controller.

Optionally, if you wish to use VirtualDJ 8, you will need to purchase a Pro Infinity, a Plus Controller or a Pro Subscription license (a small discount is available if you enter your LE serial number) http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
