Has anyone checked out the functionality in the software FLOW. You can skip along parts of a song and it perfectly blends the 2 sections so its not an abrupt change and it stays in time and measure. I would love for VirtualDJ to add this functionality.
They make it so you can easily see the different sections of a song and just click the section you want to go to. Whatever your settings you have set it will automatically jump to that section. So if I have it set to 4 beats mix and I click the next section on the 2nd beat it will wait till it reaches the 4th beat to switch to the new section and it will do it by fading and mixing the sections over each other. PRETTY COOL

Yes I've seen and tried Flow. It's a very basic stripped back DJ program.
I think the nearest we've got to that in VDJ 8 is the remix points, that make parts of the track available on the sampler pads.
Would be nice to have a way of scripting (easily) a way of jumping around to different sections of a track.

The nice thing about the way they do it is the way these points are already set automatically. And if you want to add more its really easy to do......they do some sort of analyzing of the song and have energy values listed for each section so intros breaks and choruses are already set without having to go into each track and make a bunch of cue points.

@ groovin There is an easy way goto +/- X
I use it lots, it makes mixing blind really easy, (I can't be bothered studying comercial dance)
I've got +&- 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,96,128,192 & 256

VDJ does this. Play a track, click on another section of the track, and it stays on measure. No interruptions.

but the track is not split into sections...the way this works is you can click in the middle of the break but it starts right at the beginning of the break section

Best way is indeed the Remix Points.
You can jump to the Remix Points bank, using .. sampler_bank '{remix mode}'
and then simply use the sampler_pad buttons
