Just got a new laptop with screen resolution of 1920X1080.
Installed version 7.4 for a test run.
Used skin with same resolution and it is too big.
All others are somewhat okay, but do not fit on the screen.
Any suggestion for a skin to fit entire screen?
Thanks

Is your laptop actually running at said resolution?

Are you sure you didn't try the 1920x1200 layout instead of the 1920x1080 one ?

Yep. Also when I first installed VDJ7 and open it for the first time, original skin
size was too small for screen.
Also tried the Font resize skin 1920x1080, 1920x1200,1600x1050, 1600x900 all too large.
Mixlab 1280x800 too small, as well as the original VDJ skins.
Also tried to change PC screen resolution. It only reverts back to 1920x1080, it will not allow any changes.

What exactly do you mean when you say the skins are "too large" or "too big"?

If your screen size is 1920x1080 then by definition a 1920x1080 skin cannot be too large.

Also you say that (e.g.) 1600x900 is too large. Not possible. It's a lower res than your screen!

Are you actually referring to the resolutions or just to the appearance of the bitmap graphics on the screen?

Skins do not fit on pc screen. They are too large and you cannot see the config option.
Others are too small and do not cover the whole pc screen.
I was finally able to change the pc resolution to 1600x900 and now skins are fitting on
screen correctly.
According to the pc specs, any resolution other than 1920x1080 is not recommended.

Could you make some screenshots please so we can try to figure it out ? (pics of skins not showing right, and maybe also the window where you set the resolution).

Problem is when the skin is too big for screen, I cannot get out of
VDJ unless I shut down laptop.
But I was able to take a pic on my desktop to show what I mean by too big.

But aren't you able to move the window by grabing the titlebar ?

If your pic shows a 1920x1080 skin, then it means your screen is NOT set to 1920x1080. And also this pic is very.... squarred ! looks like almost a 4:3 ratio... a 16:9 screen is much wider I believe.

No that's the problem.
I was able to change the laptop screen size, but it is not the recommended one to use.

@bogart

i cant find anything for that model number are you sure its correct?

also you should be using the recommended screen resolution not one you like LCD screens don't work that way.

Sorry I forgot one letter after the model.
model# Q5027LA
Yes I would rather use the screen resolution recommended; however all the skins are as
I showed in the upload or small and don't fit properly.

Same here. With the extra A letter it won't even find a page lol ^^

The purpose of knowing this model number is to see pics / specs of your computer... At least if you can post one picture of it ? If you bought it online, please post a link to the merchant, or maybe other usefull info we can reach with internet...

is it possible your desktop is 1920 x 1080 and the actual resolution is something else?

resolution is what you need to pay attention to
some video cards allow the desktop to be larger then the screen resolution and they scroll around a bit to reach that size.

maybe you could take a screen cap of your resolution settings like below and share with us it would help :-)

Hope these turn out. There is no program on new system to place them into, so
I took a photo of the screen showing res and intel res.
It shows 192x1080.
It is registered with the serial & model indicated. Label too small to send a pic of the label on the back of laptop.
