Not sure if anyone knows what you want comments or suggestions on. From the title you mention 'finish my programming' and then you just show a screen shot. Try asking some specific questions.

before I finish programming this controller, does anyone have any suggestions on the layout in terms of usability.

Im NOT looking for anyone to program this, I have already done that!

Thanks

Its not the most popular controller :) , so you will probably not get much feedback.
For controllers like the APC series, if you ask 20 different users, you will probably end up with 20 different answers on how this unit should be mapped.
So my suggestion is, finish the mapping according to your needs or share one with the most "reasonable"/common ones.

you're on to something DJDAD... i love the controller and it works well for a backup plus looks cool at gigs as I have buttons dancing to the music etc.

Either way, I will take your suggestion and finish it and post for others users to have.

You have impeccable work ethic btw... i dont see how you can cover so much but appreciate your attention.

I have the same unit. I am with big hope that this is for VDJ8.

I think you need to have 2 jogs for both decks.
*Edit beatgrid with Shift+JoG - is really important to me.
*Tap - if you have spare buttons left.
*Video Transition butoon - I don't like the Audio and Video together.

Thanks

I can do basic mapping myself. I asked for help when I get into trouble.
But to be honest, I haven't done any definition file (if I even say this right), which I believe what makes the leds work.

if you have any questions ask , I built the apc 80 and walked throught issues and mapped it all . I don't not use it as a dj controller but as my effect and samples and controller. If you get lost send a message. I had the entire thing built back in version 6

ok , I got the entire row you have in red working. Its mapped as this

mapper.
<map value="1-SLIDER23" action="loop 2" />
<map value="0-SLIDER23" action="loop 1" />
<map value="2-SLIDER23" action="loop 4" />
<map value="3-SLIDER23" action="loop 8" />
<map value="4-SLIDER23" action="loop 16 " />
<map value="5-SLIDER23" action="loop 32" />
<map value="6-SLIDER23" action="loop 64" />
<map value="7-SLIDER23" action="loop 128" />
<map value="8-SLIDER23" action="loop 0.5" />

of your still using the mapping we made it will work.. have fun!!

the issue lie in the devices . When it was written we forgot one thing a channel in the def. If your using the one we worked on the answer is this
<slider cc="0x17" channel="7" name="Device_Control_8" />
<slider cc="0x16" channel="6" name="Device_Control_7" />
<slider cc="0x15" channel="5" name="Device_Control_6" />
<slider cc="0x14" channel="4" name="Device_Control_5" />
<slider cc="0x13" channel="3" name="Device_Control_4" />
<slider cc="0x12" channel="2" name="Device_Control_3" />
<slider cc="0x11" channel="1" name="Device_Control_2" />
<slider cc="0x10" channel="0" name="Device_Control_1" />

we didn't notice it. I realized it when I figured out the issue.. you are going to love it!! more , more , more..

special thanks to tim hortons for adding expresso to the menue. Im wide awake.

Nice Michael! I have OCD and in the process of updating again. More to come.

Working on it this weekend and then I will upload. Also got my NanoKontrol working (finally) with VDJ8 and will be uploading that as well in the next few weeks.
