I downloaded the free version of VDJ8 to give it a try. But i can’t seem to find in the options the “allow <80 BPM" that was present in v7. Is that function available in the pro version?

Nope it doesn't exist as a option any more, the only differences between Pro and Home are Controllers, Advanced, sound config and timecode.

This doesn't make any sense! i've got hundreds of songs listed as 140 BPM when it should be 70! Is there a way to fix this without editing EVERY single song???

Make sure setTagsAuto is OFF!

Highlight all the tracks that are wrong,
(Click 1 hold shift, Click another for continuous selection, Hold Ctrl and click for multiselection)
right click > edit tags, in the bpm section there will be a *2 or /2 button, Press /2. Close the tag editor, wait, it will take a short time. DONT WRITE TO TAG, it will screw over your database doing that with large selections.

Option 2
Make a custom button/script that

set_bpm 50%

and you can just correct each track as you use it.

Thanks Loco, its a work around, but we shouldn't lose a feature that we had for so long, now I have to go through my whole database and correct it what a pain

You can do hundreds of tracks at once,

recurse the lowest folder possible to catch most of the miss read bpms, order by bpm and hi lite the ones that are wrong.
