Topic: Can i use Vga and Hdmi output at the same time?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hooked my MSi laptop up to a projector (VGA) and a LCD TV (HDMI) . I was able to bring my desktop up on both. I went to activate my display on virtual dj but only could select one. Is there any way of getting around this and showing my VDJ video on both outputs?

Any help would be grateful.

Thanks

A powered HDMI splitter is what I use for two separate tv's or a projector and a tv. Not sure if you can downgrade one cable out to VGA.

You CAN downscale to vga from hdmi and even vice versa but I'm not sure if you can run vdj from both outputs on your graphics card at once.
If it is a limitation of the software you would be stuck converting. Why are you bent on running hdmi to the tv though? I assume the projo does not have hdmi in but you can send a 1920 x 1080 signal with uxga. Just run a signal to a uxga splitter and feed both the projector and the tv in hd.
