Topic: American Audio Encore 2000
Greetings everyone-
First time posting.
Just purchased an American Audio Encore 2000. Having trouble getting it to play with VDJ. I have downloaded the drivers & I already have VDJ Pro. American Audio site & manual is useless. Can anyone help me config VDJ to get it to work?

14. SOURCE SELECT BUTTON - This button lets you toggle between USB Port 1, USB Port 2, & CD player.
This selector lets you choose which source will play on either side. The corresponding LED's located above
the button will verify which source is active. The source selection can only be done in PAUSE mode. Press this
button down for at least 3 seconds to enable MIDI
on the corresponding deck. Press this button again
for at least 3 seconds to disable MIDI.

You should be able to see .. MIDI on the display of the unit.
Launch VirtualDj and check that the unit is properly detected (in CONFIG-->Mappers tab )
The Sound Setup in the first tab of CONFIG should be ..
Inputs.--> None
Sound Cards. -- >ASIO and next to that ..choose ADJ Encore ASIO (or similar)

I dont own the unit, so your feedback would be useful for our wiki pages.

Thanks for the reply!
Sometimes it's those little tweaks that make the difference.
Set the unit to MIDI before starting VDJ.
On the CONFIG tab, I had to set the Outputs to - External Mixer.
I know it's not a "true MIDI" controller because you can't see all of the knobs & dials move in VDJ, but I still the
functionality of VDJ - playlists, sidelists, etc. I'm happy!

Again, thank you for your help!

hmmm thats strange.. Are you sure about that ? The default mapper shows that the unit has a real midi mixer so it should work as Outputs-->Headphones.

Yep I'm sure. Putting it on headphones only one side worked.

should have also said that the headphones setting causes channel 2 to bleed into channel 1.
