what does the # signify in the key selection?? help some body please as i feel its hampering my mixes in light of not knowing if it mean sharp or just the difference between major and minor. any advice greatly received ;)

It's sharp, "m" stands for minor.

No "m"

C#m = C sharp minor
C# = C Sharp major
