Hi guys.
Very simple, and probably dumb question, but here goes:
I'm interested in purchasing the Numark Mixtrack Pro. All I have right now is a Hercules E2, and as I get more demanding about mixing, it's just not enough anymore. I know the Mixtrack Pro comes with its own sound card, headphone slot and whatnot, but if I want to mix without headphones, like I do with the Hercules E2, it's still possible right? Meaning, I can just connect the USB cable to my computer/laptop, use my computer's sound system and take it from there. I'm pretty sure this is correct, isn't it? I'm assuming I just have to keep my sound settings on VDJ as they are right now.
Another question: the one I'm trying to purchase says it comes with Traktor LE. This won't cause a problem if I want to keep using it with VDJ, right? Will it be automatically recognized by VDJ?
Also, I'm using Windows 7 with Virtual DJ Pro 7.0. It'll be compatible, I'm assuming.
Thanks for your patience.

Regarding the Numark and headphones, yes you can use a Stereo with RCA cables, Computer speakers and ofc with or without headphones. If you do own VirtualDJ Pro you just have to plugin the mixtrack to the computer and you are ready to go.
btw, you should register your VirtualDJ pro to your account on this website and you'll get access to additional plugins/skins/FX et.c.

Alright, thanks for the input. Basically, I'm gonna be able to use my Numark Mixtrack Pro just like I did with the Hercules e2, correct?
I just wanna get that out of the way, because I'm selling the E2. As far as I've read, the Mixtrack Pro didn't use to be compatible, but became compatible since version 6.0 of Virtual DJ came out, or something like that.
Thanks again!

Please register your Pro serial number on the page http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and then download the latest version from the Download Center: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html
If you have not purchased VirtualDJ Pro then please support the software and its future development by purchasing it: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
NOTE: If the MixTrack Pro comes with VirtualDJ LE, it will allow you to upgrade from LE to the full Pro at a considerable discount. MixTrack Pro is fully natively supported in the latest versions of the software.

Okay guys, I just got my Mixtrack Pro, and I'm loving the jog wheels. Now, two questions arise:
I want to use the EQ Kill for, well, killing the EQ. It's currently mapped for hot cues, but I don't know how to change it. I know it's in the mappings, but I'm not sure if it's the actual HOT_CUE thingies I should change, and what should I change them to. Any help would be much appreciated.
Second issue: whenever I want to use the Mixtrack Pro (regular USB connection, no headphones and RCA cables), I have to change the sound config to Advance Settings, and changed to the ASIO sound card. And then, if I want to listen to music or watch videos/movies and whatnot (after shutting down VDJ), I have to open it again, and go back to the simple sound configuration, otherwise there's no sound coming from my speakers. Is there any way to get around this nuisance?
Thanks!
J.

The LE version of Virtual DJ supplied with your controller does not support mapping or sound config. To enjoy these features please upgrade to virtual DJ Pro at a discounted price here: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

I have the Pro 7 version of Virtual DJ, so I know it's possible. I just need to figure out how to, so I don't mess up.
Thanks

but check out my icons... i use the exact same equipment as you... the MTP and MP3e2 are great bits of kit... im currently mapping my e2 to be a dedicated FX unit and sampler which will be uber cool... especially when i map the jogs to change parameters 8)

If you are using an illegally obtained or cracked version of the Pro software then that could explain the issues you are having. It will also likely be out of date and there have been quite a few improvements since version 7.0
If you have a valid Pro serial number then please register it and download the latest version. If not you should purchase the legitimate version of the software and support future development.
You could also uninstall the Pro version you are trying and use the LE version on the CD supplied with your console.
Please see here: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Illegal%20Pirate%20Version.html

Hi, Im planning on buying the numark mixtrack pro, and currently i use virtual dj Home free, if i connect my numark mixtrack pro into my laptop, Can i just hit play and start mixing using my numark mixtrack pro? Or do i need a new software or anything else doing?

Sorry, VirtualDJ Home FREE doesn't support using MIDI controllers. It's for mouse/keyboard only. Please see comparison.
If the MixTrack Pro comes with VirtualDJ LE included then you can use that instead, but it is limited software (It can be upgraded to the full VirtualDJ Pro at a discount.)
Otherwise, you will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional to use it with VirtualDJ.
The MixTrack Pro is natively supported (Plug and play) in the latest version of VirtualDJ.
