Topic: Help with turntable setup, what i need? - Page: 2

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

There's nothing wrong with 16 bit audio (I assume that's what you mean). It's CD quality and has been for decades.

Unless you have golden ears and a world class high end hi-fi system, 16 bits is perfectly good enough.

With VirtualDJ 8 you can now use up to 32 bits and any sample rate.

For timecode use (turntables) you need:

1) VirtualDJ 8 Pro (which you already have)
2) 4In - 4Out sound card interface (ASIO and/or Core Audio compatible)
3) Direct Drive Turntables (2 or more at your choice, VirtualDJ can handle 6 turntables or more at your choice at once)
4) Timecode Vinyls, one for each tunrtable you would use with VirtualDJ. This could be VirtualDJ 8 Vinyl, Numark, Serato, Trackor, etc

A suggestion is to have a good computer (something fast like Core i5, i7 4th gen or better to get a fast response).
