So bought the VDJ app for my ipod touch and everytime i try get it to work, it just tries to connect and never does.
Is there a manual on this thing? If I can't get this to work, I want my $10 back.

Didn"t find a manual, but you can try this:
http://www.virtualdj.com/homepage/superaceman/blogs/4551/iRemote_setup_guide.html
"If you are having problems connecting your iDevice, make sure that you have added an exception on your computers firewall service so that it is not blocked by your system."

I also found this:
http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/iRemote.html
"iRemote requires VirtualDJ v7.0.2 or above to work - If you are running an older version than this, then please upgrade to the latest version or download the latest VirtualDJ Home FREE.
Please ensure that you have iTunes and the Bonjour service installed on your computer.
Make sure that both your computer and the iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch are connected to the same wireless network and can see each other. Try browsing the web on the device before starting iRemote to ensure that the wireless network is active and working.
NOTE: You must use a proper WiFi network connection, not Bluetooth. If you do not have access to wireless access point, then you can create an Ad-Hoc network instead (See the step-by-step instructions on the page linked below.)
Make sure that any firewall software installed on your computer is not blocking the iPhone/iPad/iPod from connecting to VirtualDJ and/or the Bonjour service."

Thanks for all the help.
I'm currently in an area where the wifi is heavily fire walled, so that's probably why i can't get it to work.
I'll have to try another time.

That shouldn't be a problem because you'll connect directly to your PC and not through the area's router. Use fixed IP-adresses on both your PC and iPod (so don't use DHCP) and you should be able to avoid automatic connection to the area's network.
