Hi all,
I recorded a one hour live set last night. When I played it back this morning I can hear the track I am cueing up in my headphones in addition the track playing, so the live playback of the recorded set sounds terrible. I am hoping this is an easy fix, but I am stuck on this.
Any help on this would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

I've used my MC-6000 for broadcasting without issue so my settings should work for you to record. This is for two deck mode:
Use the advanced setup. Set channel 1&2 of the MC-6000 sound card to Inputs 1&2. Repeat for channels 3&4.
Now the important. Set the Record Loopback to the inputs of the MC-6000 sound card.
That should do the trick...
Cheers,
Roy

Could you by any chance send a picture of what the inputs should look like? Thanks

Sorry for the delay. I only get to the studio (bottom of the garden) once a week for broadcasting my show on SoulCityGrooves Radio (www.soulcitygrooves.com).
Here's the set up:
On the back of the unit:
In the advanced config:
I broadcast internally using Shoutcast but also use BUTT (http://butt.sourceforge.net/) for recording the podcast so I hook BUTT up to the DN-MC6000 (Loopback) which appears when the unit is plugged in and turned on.
You'll notice the levels are quite low - 16 works well. I then adjust the gain per track somewhere between 45-55% usually.
Note: The master volume has no impact on the loopback. This is coming back directly via the USB.
Finally the settings for BUTT. As I said I'm not broadcasting with BUTT as I'd have to manually change the track/artist infor which Virtual DJ does so well ;-) but you should see the Audio Device is the Denon loopback.
Hope this helps. Have a listen to the podcast (http://soundchaser.podomatic.com) if you wanna hear the quality. I am using a Red5 Audio RV6 condensing microphone through via XLR through Mic 1 BTW.
Cheers,
Roy

Tell me more about your set up and what steps you took to record.
If you can upload one of these files somewhere I'll take a look and see if I can play it as well.
Also have you tried uploading it to mixclould.com or soundcloud.com to see whether they can read the format?
Cheers,
Roy

Recording is limited for no license users, what version are you using?

i dont have that problem what i do have a problem with is the record loop option in advanced settings for sound. My friend does DJing and he is letting me try his program for a few broadcast to see if i like it. i can play music but not find of even activate a mic. in another forum that i cant find now it said to go into advanced and create a master for out an add mic as audio in. i did that got a mic button but still wont work in a broadcast. so then i read i need to add record loop for that mic and it will work. So i did but then it would not turn my mic off even after i clicked the mic button to off. so to resolve it i had to remove the record loop to make the mic turn off. can any one help or direct me to the right forum.

It helps if you post screen shots of your audio settings so we can get a better idea.

I'm sorry, this thread was started in 2011, and the last post was in 2014. Most of the info is dated, even for 7.4.7. Please ask your question in the version 7 forum, and be more specific. Include the OS, specs of the machine, types of files, and any other equipment involved, thank you.
