Topic: Recording quality???

I was wondering if the sound cards I have would affect mp3 recording quality? I have 2 cheap sound cards and I would purchase better ones if it made a difference.

I'm not too sure, but i assume it would (if the jack sockets are crap, i assume the quality would be crap too), that said tho, soundcards arent used (i dont think) for recording, only for input/output of the sound, the recording is done using the lame encoder on your computer, so i don't think it should matter, as all recording is done inside the computer, not outside (and so your soundcard is not used).

To improve sound recording quality, make the quality setting higher (such as 192, if it was at 56 kbps for example)
