Currently using maya 44 in asio mode for timecode cd playing…
I want to purchase a 2nd cheap soundcard for my laptop(since my internal sc doesn’t have a line-in) to receive the output from my external mixer and record my mixes into mp3 file.
Any suggestions?

use the mic-in. most onboard sound cards dont have dedicated mic pre-amps, there jsut normal line level ADC's with different gain settings, which usualy means there sterio too. yours may not be but just check it mite save you a fair few quid if all you want to do is record your mixes.
