Topic: My First Digital setup 1997

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hey peeps - I was recently in my attic and found my very first digital setup! I bought this "LUnchbox" in November of 97 for $3500. I didnt go out with it until April or May of 98. It took forever to rip and convert and edit Cds/tracks back then. I wass coming off of Vinyl and CD so Recording in real time (from vinyl) then rendering was a tedious task...I had no life, but totally worth it! I have included some pics but I was using PCDJ back then. I just fired this particular unit up a little bit ago and still runs after 6 or 7 years of non use! Hope you like.

My first was early 2000. A Sony Z600 laptop for £2500 with a 20gb hard drive running Win 2000 and PCDJ red. It was shit for a start as PCDJ promised updates and never ever delivered. Visiosonic were the worst company ever. Nothing new there then.

I had been buying CD's since 1986 and went fully CD in 1994 so the conversion to MP3 wasn't too painful looking back.
