Topic: Video Doesn't Work...........

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I use AVI files in 720x480 resolution on Hi-Def LCD screens, the play fine in Windows Media and Win-amp. When I try the demo 3.0 the sound is fine but I either get no video or it will lock up the system when it does show video. I run an AMD Athlon2500+, 1 gig 3200 ram, NVidia fx5200 with 128mb ram video card with dual output (crt and s-video for the lcd's)..........Also can't find a "pitch bend" for monentarily +/- of the tempo. Does it not exist or can I just not find it?

Try to use a video with smaller resolution... 352x240 sounds good. I'm using MPEG1 files (they're easy to play for your computer) with this resolution and got no problems.

ALso the fx5200 is somewhat underpowered for this job, consider a newer, faster gfx card like the 6600GT

Pitch bend function exists in VDJ.
Have a look in the shortucts (options -> Add shortcuts).
You can also use the "Nudge" function (left & right arrows if you haven't changed them).
