Topic: limiter not smooth

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

i don't know if i'm doing something wrong, but when i enable the limiter on the vdj the sound seems to go up and down..slightly
does anyone else experience this problem,i'm using audigy4 soundcard which is fairly decent..maybe vdj staff can look into a revision on the limiter in the next update...

Yes I have experienced that problem and it was recommended from virtualdj support team that I just disable it.

matter of fact djchill that's what i'ave been doing, but sometimes the volume gets out of control...i have directx plugins that would solve this problem, but of course vdj doen't support such thing..
now if vdj staff can design a dynamic processor like otsdj or bpm, that would be a good thing, but i still love my vdj....

Visit the plugins board to see how to use direcx plugins in vdj.

Set autogain to always Zero, disable limiter = works great ;)

If you use autogain at zero AND limiter at the same time, there will be clipping in sound, as they both try to keep it at zero db
