What does the star mean next to the BPM number?????

It means the track is optimized for Auto Mix.

What do you mean optimised for automix and how do you get it that way as they just seem to appear at random?

I took it to mean that the audio is synched up perfectly with the grids (when you see the structure of the song). However, like with some of my videos that do have an *, they will start and end with the beats aligned with the grid but sometimes during the middle they are way off. I had this issue last week with a video that I thought was perfect. I like to start my mix of the other video (on a loop) before the last 32 count of the current video - but I can't with this particular video because it goes out of synch - but if I let auto smart do it, it will mix fine, but not as good as I could have done it.
