I have the NS7 and I think ITCH is ok. I was a big fan of VIrtual DJ, But for what I do for a living I could not afford BUGS and Crashes and that I was the situation when I was a VDJ i5.2 user. I would love to use VDJ again with my NSy which I love. I would love to use the Hercules with VDJ for the coctail hour of weedings, sweet 16ths, and use the NS7 for the reception and heavy duty events. So that being said, it will be nice to be able to use the NS7 and the hercules with one DJ Software VDJ6. So please let us know when will VDJ work with The NS7.

Thanks,
FrankTHEDJ

V6 is 14bit which means that NS7 functionality isfully capable.. as opposed to 5.2.1

as to why it is not native... only VDJ can answer that
however chances are even if it is not native.. someone out there is working on a mapper

patience is a virtue..... expectations are on this one

Mapper will come ;) someone will make that pretty soon i bet ;)

Well I am about to make a 1300US investment on this hardware, reason for not purchasing earlier was the pending release of vdj v6.
However the current responses from "technical support" are not encouraging as I thought the Ns7 would have been native in v6.
I do professional video mixing therefore I not only need a solid solution, but something which is also feasible to my budget and the Ns7 will full that outstanding void for a Pro-Controller.
Video mixing is quite dissimilar from just straight audio and 2 variables have to be considered
-Audio
-Video

If I'm to purchase regular turntables and use timecode or midi, this will get expensive very fast, therefore I'm imploring on the Dev Team to have a competent midi support for this particular controller and please always bear in mind the VDJ end users and not the "inter-business relationship" between entities.

you forgot to mention the cost of importing the product to you.. stream..... that will cost you another bundle... especially with the tax increases.. as well as shipping by the courier

There are so many controllers made native in V6 - but most still considered toys
So many professional decks giving issues

Seems that somewhere VDJ and Numark has issues -
makes no sense however for backs to be turned on each other

bottom line = VDJ - great software and Numark (VCI-300 and NS7) great hardware - solution to many
So regardless of the assumed (volatile relationship) a marrying of both products - is required for VDJ to stay on top

VDJ - must get the mappers right and flawlessly for the NS7 - whether it is natively supported or not. I call on the powers that be
the programmers for mappers... this can only be advantageous

Like I said in the other thread, something seems amiss in the VDJ/Numark relationship. The NS7 would have been native if everything was copacetic between the two entities. Seems like they’ve jumped on the Serato bandwagon and left us VDJ users in the dust?

I will try to finish my work on a NS7 mapper at Wednesday. I personaly do not own a controller so i am not able to get the MIDI notes i need for it. If someone can take a log of the last 4 buttons and the jogs i could try to finish it earlier.

I just need 4 the midi notes of the 4 buttons on the front and some logging of the jogs.

http://www.midiox.com/moxdown.htm

Just install this little tool, start it (without VDJ running) and then select the midi port:
- 'Options' - 'Midi Device' - 'Input device'

Now switch the following buttons from left to right and back (each one after the other):

Fader start A
Motor torque
XFader Reverse
Fader start B

in the Monitor INPUT Window there should be some midi commands. Please copy them by right click and 'Copy all' and post them here.

Also i need some log of the jogs:

right mouse button in the INPUT Window - 'Clear input'. Then turn the LEFT jog CLOCKWISE about 5 times SLOWLY.
Copy the log, post it and do the same REVERSE-CLOCK, also post it. Do the same for the right jog. Please write text before the log - just i know which jog you turn and which direction. (turn the wheels whith holding the vinyl)

The same thing with the jogs but NOT touching the vinyls.

At least i need the information about 'Motor off', 'Start time', 'Stop time' - i think they are no midi, but try if there are any MIDI Signals from that faders.

When everything works we could get the LED information - but i think this should be the last thing to work on.

Greets, Heiko

Seems your post got cut of... too long maybe

Could you save it to a word document, and upload it somewhere?
