Topic: PaceMaker??

Well a month ago a co worker of mine was telling me about this thing called pacemaker..and just minutes ago i remembered..so yea its like an mp3 play/mixer...its as big as an ipod..it surprised me..this is like the on- the-go mixer...just in case u get caught in a surprise dj for me please..or ur little house party..not to big party..or wutever...looks pretty kool...check it out at

Yeah, this Pacemaker thing came out about a year to 18 months ago. It had a RRP of £500 in the UK.

I just googled it again and now you can pick on up for about £370 (still a rip IMO). Who's interested.................not me for sure, lol

jajajaja...i think that this would catch the eye of somebody that wants to stand out at a regular party..and wants to be the "1" at the party//......

Come on now.....This stuff is getting just plain outright dumb. I'm not saying the product is dumb but.....I mean........I'm just saying though.......Come on.....for real ?*?*?*?

Manufactures are trying real hard to make a buck on people that just don't know any better. This seems like a toy that might make someone think by accident that they can DJ for real.
 
This thing was reviewed in Mobile Beat magazine and they said that it is great as a backup for mobile DJ's. But I don't trust this magazine since they never printed a negative review and they never criticize anything. And it looks like they ignore or try to avoid mentioning VirtualDJ but that's another topic.
 
I personnally think its a great bit of kit but a bit of a gimmick.
It would be handy in certain situations but I cant really justify spending that sort of money on one when it would be more of a toy and would be left iin a drawer in 6 weeks time.

An app on my iphone that could do something similiar - then I would be more interested!

well, i wouldnt buy one for the prices they're asking, but one of my soldier friends brought one back from overseas (combat pay adds up to toys for alot of these guys) and after playing around with it for a little while my verdict is -

i want one.

it was just plain fun to play with and holds enough music for a nights worth of fun.

now if you'll excuse me i need to go play the lottery so i can afford one.
 
I would love to have one for the school pep rallys I do. During football season I do 3 a week. To save me time ....and my back....this year I started using a small console with a denon 6000 and burned a few cds of popular stuff and some songs I may need for skits or contests. But having a 100 gig "ipod" and the ability to mix and what not...would be cool.....but not for what the retail price was here in the states. I'll make due with my cds.
