I accidently told VDJ to scan a drive that had songs on it that I did not want to be viewed. How do I clear these songs from VDJ database w/out deleting them from my system?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Go into Vdj program files and remove the database .xml folder then you can start from scratch. You can move this folder to another location so you dont lose your music
but remember this is all your vdj music in here

What do you mean by "scan a drive" ?
Analyze files or just scan for files ?
There are 2 databases : .xml and .txt
Be carefull with the xml file its all the user infos there (cue points ...)
BACKUP this file.
You may just delete the .txt file and rescan (not analyze)
This file can easily re-created, its just a list with your files and paths.
(these files are in your vdj folder)
Let us know.

actually you can just go into the database thingy and right click on it and youll get three options

select the delete cd option and select the drive you no longer want in the database

then rescan the drive you want in the data base

i dont know if this loses cue points but i know you dont have to re analyse songs again if you do this as ive done it tons

Thanks Guys....
It was the .txt file that I was looking for. I scanned my "G" drive (not analyzed).

Cue and comments are not lost by deleting mp3database.txt This file only contains the list of tracks available in the "Database" section in the VDJ browser.

BUT be sure to backup your .xml file.
I know what I say ... trust me. ;-)
