Hello all,

I have a lot of new media I just acquired and am looking for the best tools/software for Organizing my audio and video files (Example: TagScanner and MediaMonkey). A lot of these new files have artist first or song first or track number all messed up. A lot are missing tags or proper tags.

I am looking for something that will integrate my files nicely into Virtual DJ/Numark Cue 5 as well as Serato Scratch Live. I want it organized as nice as the library of congress. I have a bad case of OCD and need to feed my disorder.

I'm really anul about my file names and organization too and I seem to be able to do just about anything using:

flash renamer 6.0 (a great file renamer with some fantastic batch renaming functions)

and

tag & rename 3.5 rc1 (if it can be done in a tag this program can do it)
 
mp3tag
its great its free and it does everything
mixmeister bpm analyser
mp3gain
this is all you need
than try intelligend playlists (see wiki)

my personal choice and favourite is Media JukeBox! Its simply amazing with large music database management...and its FREE!

For video, i use the JR Media Center, which actually does both audio n video management...but u only get a 30day free trial!

Actually there is one thing tag & rename can't do that I would like to find in a tagging program.

Anybody know of a tagging program that will let you edit the tag directly in the column cell just like a databse does? All the taggin programs make you bring up an annoying window for each tag you want to edit. I want to be able to click on the "Year" cell in the tagging column and enter a new year without it bringing up a seperate window to enter it in and then click OK and then get a confimation if I really want to change it.....yes, I want to change it, so just let me change it!

Any tagging programs (That work with video mpeg2 files and mp4 files) that have this feature.....anybody, bueller, bueller, bueller.................
 
both the options i gave above do have tagging and renaming in column format...try the out, tell me what you think...

JR media center apparently doesn't work with videos (everytime i tried to scan and load a folder it kept telling me there were no file with valid formats available.

For some reason have been unabelto open yahoo or google to night to search for the other one...I'll try again tomorrow
